Minute 12 Character: Honesty

I laugh when I think of the day my daughters and I went to a drive-thru restaurant. We found an extra sandwich in the bag, which they did not charge us for. The girls insisted that I turn back and return it. Since we were already running late for a rehearsal I promised we would go back the next day and pay for it.
The next day, we did just that. We went back and told one of the cashiers we had to pay for an extra sandwich they gave us by mistake. The girls felt good about it, and I was super proud of their determination to be honest. Teach your children to be honest, generous, and trustworthy individuals. Remember, character is doing the right thing when nobody is watching!
