Acts of Kindness

Parents should want their children to grow up to be compassionate, kind, generous, loving, respectful, helpful, and caring individuals. These traits are taught and caught by example. We practiced kindness and charity as we did unique and unexpected things for people we randomly met. For example, one day, we were shopping at a Good Will Center and noticed a needy family selecting household items. When they got to the cashier line, we walked by them, handed them a $20 bill, and said, “Have a nice day!” as we left the store. It gave us the idea to hand out money in envelopes randomly to people in need at Christmas time and other holidays. The girls got an amazing feeling from these little acts of generosity. To this day, they continue to feed the hungry as well as volunteer in different outreach. Show the love, at any season of the year!
