Everyone Needs a Coach

Both our daughters undoubtedly knew we were not only their parents but also their “life coaches” ready to equip them to become the very best they could be. Our older daughter shared that she often visualized herself and sister wearing oversized football helmets and jerseys with large shoulder pads while waiting for the morning carpool. “My mom was like a football coach, banging on our shoulder pads, kissing the top of our helmets, telling us we were the best kids in the world and that great things were out there for us because we were so awesome.” – That is the way she felt we raised her. Well… maybe not all of the time. Of course, I had my moments, and I am sure she can tell you about those, too.
